Saudi authorities reported that an attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Saturday killed 12 people and injured over 300 more. Four of the dead were Saudi citizens. The remaining eight victims included two Bangladeshi nationals, a Palestinian, a U.S. citizen, an Egyptian, a Jordanian, a Syrian and a Sudanese national, according to the Saudi statement. Some of the injured were in critical condition.

The attack marked the latest in a series of incidents at the airport over the past week. Saudi authorities suggested the incident would likely intensify pressure on allied nations, including the United States, to increase military support for the kingdom.
